An unidentified female patient resides in a psychiatric hospital. The small woman found on a roof in Pori had nearly frozen to death on a cold winter night and tried to seek warmth by curling up in front of an air conditioning duct. The near 60-year-old lady with a gentle face is a mystery, as nobody recognises her and she recognises no one. Because her real name is unknown, the nursing staff named the woman Sofia. Sofia is almost in a catatonic state, and she doesn't show emotions or react to the outside world in a normal way anymore. If you lead her by the hand, she can painfully move from one place to another and eat slightly. However, she's like a shell that has enclosed a human being. The hospital's psychiatrists have diagnosed her with prolonged, untreated schizophrenia, which because of some traumatic event has now pushed her mind even further away from other people. Establishing contact with Sofia is almost impossible, because people are like air to her. However, she can speak. "The most important is safe, the most important is safe, the most important is safe," seems to be the only sentence that she's capable of repeating anymore. The sentence can be heard from her lips many times a day, and each time with the same monotonous, colourless rhythm. While doing this, she rocks in place as if lulling herself into a safe embrace. Another reaction has been elicited from Sofia. The nurses noticed when moving around the halls with the patient that seeing mirrors triggers an extremely strong fear response in Sofia. When this happens, she always starts to cry and scream as if she is in grave danger. She also curls up as if retreating even deeper into her shell to escape from what she has seen. The nurses can't even guess what horrors Sofia sees in the mirrors in addition to herself. Sofia's face has been shown in local newspapers for a long time, but there seem to be few sightings of her movements in Pori. Finally, though, there has been some promising news: a person working at Puuvilla saw a woman who looked like Sofia going into a neighbouring apartment a few days before the patient was found, but since then the reporter hasn't seen the woman. Therefore, a proper door and lock could finally be found for the key found in Sofia's pocket. Could information about relatives be found in the apartment so that they could be contacted? And what does the most important is safe mean, and what is it? Sofia's Mind - What scares you there?
